( Information Department of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Secretariat )

The Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Dmytro Razumkov has embarked on his working trip to the Kyiv and Cherkasy oblasts (regions).

While in the Kyiv oblast, he will visit construction site of a new school in the village of Hora, make a reference visits to “Kostal Ukraine”, LLC in the city of Pereiaslav and the Ukrainian state medical and social centre for war veterans in the village of Tsybli.

In the second part of his tour – the Cherkasy oblast - the speaker is to become familiar with how the Major General Ihor Momot Main Staff Training Centre of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine and the enterprise “Ukravit Company”, Ltd work.

A press point is also in the tour plan.

The course of tour events

  • The Kyiv oblast.

The Hora school site.

When visiting the school site, the speaker stated that “the decentralization reform is very important for Ukraine”.

“Due to a rapid Kyiv midtown’s growth, the need for kindergartens and schools is increasingly high. Construction of such facilities is funded well in 2020, and we do hope that this budgetary trend will continue for 2021. However, much here depends upon the local community and authorities as well. Thanks to the decentralization reform, settlements get more powers and opportunities, because more money remains in situ,” Dmytro Razumkov said.

The head of the company also informed the speaker about the construction plan of a new plant, which is due to start this May – a likely investment worth EUR 39 mn, capable of giving 900 new jobs.

“This enterprise is a great example of how Ukraine can be competitive in the world.  As for the Verkhovna Rada, we will do our best to create cleared conditions for attracting additional investments in our country,” Dmytro Razumkov stressed.
