A.Parubiy flogs OB’s anti-lustration attempt and supports deregistration of two infamous escapees
Anti-lustration demarche of the outs
The Chairman of the Parliament reminded that the law on lustration was one of the requirements of the Revolution of Dignity.
At the beginning of the Thursday’s morning plenary session, the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Andriy Parubiy informed that the Constitutional Court of Ukraine starts to consider the Opposition bloc’s (OB) motion on constitutionality of the lustration law. "Lustration has long been the bone in the throat for regionalists and other Ukrainophobes, but nobody have dared to destroy the law on lustration! he stated indignantly. - For those with elusive memory, I would remind that the law was one of the basic requirements of the Revolution of Dignity".
A.Parubiy is convinced that justices of the Ukrainian Constitutional Court would not carry an unconstitutional, anti-state decision. "Whoever opens the door for evil, he sure shall feel the full power of anger of the Ukrainian people!" he emphasized and thanked all Ukrainians who came out to the Constitutional Court.
The ousted twain
A.Parubiy then informed the chamber about the CEC’s final decision to deregister Andrii Kliuiev and Anatolii Sharii.
The Chairman apprised the audience of the decision of the Central Election Commission, which canceled the registration of Andrii Kliuiev and a pro-Russian propagandist Anatolii Sharii.
"Dear colleagues! I am glad to congratulate everyone on the victory,” he said. - After my yesterday's public appeal to law enforcement agencies, they did provide documents allowing the CEC to cancel the registration of these two sinister shadows of the past".
A.Parubiy thanked Ukrainians who protested on the Maidan. "We have shown that revenge can and must be stopped. United we can, together we make power!" he underscored.
