Chairman Parubiy tends towards gearing up all nationally focused populace for being up in arms against rising revenge
At the beginning of the morning plenary session, the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine drew attention to the last days’ events, which he called "unsettling". "While best defenders of Ukraine are departing this earth, attempts are being made to have revenge within the country," he said.
A.Parubiy stressed that the Muscovite church in Ukraine not only refuses to comply with the law and honestly indicate its real center - Moscow. "They are already trying to cancel the registration of the Ukrainian, ecumenically recognized, Church. They want to take away the right to have our own church," he said, adding that "the Kyiv District Administrative Court must pass an examination on statehood and Ukrainianity - and unequivocally confirm the legitimacy of the church registration!"
The head of parliament underscored that returning of Zhukov's name, a Ukrainian xenophobe, to the avenue after the name of Ukrainian dissident P. Hryhorenko is "an overt deprivation of the right to our own history, a direct violation of Ukraine’s law on de-communization committed in an utterly provocative and demonstrative way! The court ought to abolish this illegal decision, restore the rule of law and punish the ringleaders!" said the politician.
The fact of appointment of a ‘Yanukovych's crony lawyer’ A.Portnov as a professor at the National Shevchenko University was called by A.Parubiy to be “deprivation of dignity”. He informed that the students had already started the protest, and stressed that the leadership of the university should abolish this "disgraceful assignment".
The Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada emphasized that he would not - by all means - allow the abolition of the language law and the revision of compulsory quotas of Ukrainian language broadcasting on radio and television.
"For the right to live in our free country, we have paid with the lives of thousands of best Ukrainians. For five years, we have been building a genuine, solid and stable Ukrainian state under repulsing the Russian aggression on all fronts. We have to mobilize all state oriented forces to stop the revenge! And now we will not let the old history come again. We shall not give the state away, not a step back! Ukraine will be free, strong and united! Glory to Ukraine!" the speaker of parliament enthusiastically exclaimed in the conclusion of his speech.
