Morning session's over

( Information Department of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Secretariat )

The Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Andriy Parubiy opened the morning plenary session.

He congratulated those present on the Day of Dignity and Freedom.

With a moment of silence parliamentarians honoured the memory of the killed Ukrainians - the Heavenly Hundred Heroes.

The presiding officer gave the floor to representatives of the parliamentary factions and groups to make their announcements, statements, reports, and proposals.

Afterwards, the lawmakers switched over to debates over the business of the day.

The chamber strapped to the draft bill No.7279-d (second reading) on amendments to certain laws of Ukraine regarding streamlining a pre-trial investigation procedure for some categories of criminal offences. They went through 199 amendments out of 235 at issue. The amendment work shall be resumed at the next sitting.

The presiding officer closed the meeting.
