Representatives of the Committee on Foreign Policy and Inter-Parliamentary Cooperation met with colleagues from the Committees on Foreign Affairs of the Lithuanian, Estonian and Latvian Parliaments

( Information Department of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Secretariat )

From April 12 to 16, at the initiative of the Chairperson of the Committee on Foreign Policy and Inter-Parliamentary Cooperation Oleksandr Merezhko, meetings were held with members of the Committees on Foreign Affairs of the Parliaments of the Republic of Lithuania, the Republic of Estonia and the Republic of Latvia, headed by Committees Chairpersons Sigismund Pavilionis, Marko Mihkelson and Richard Coles.

Ukrainian parliamentarians thanked their colleagues from the Parliaments of Lithuania, Estonia and Latvia for the constant and consistent support of our state in the context of the ongoing aggression of the Russian Federation.

During the meetings, the parties exchanged views on a wide range of issues, namely the development of bilateral political dialogue, intensification and strengthening of inter-parliamentary cooperation.

Particular attention was paid to discussing the current and security situation in the occupied territories of Ukraine.

The focus was on the need to deepen cooperation between our countries at all levels, in particular between the permanent delegations within the inter-parliamentary assemblies in order to mobilize broad international support for Ukraine in the fight against Russian aggression.

International partners have demonstrated their consistent and unwavering support for Ukraine's territorial integrity and sovereignty in the face of aggression in the Еast of the country, as well as our country's European and Euro-Atlantic aspirations.
