Speaker greets EU on its anniversary

( Information Department of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Secretariat )

A congratulatory speech of the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Dmytro Razumkov on the European Union's anniversary

On that day in 1993, the Treaty on European Union - The Maastricht Treaty - which created the EU as it stands today, entered into force.

Nowadays, the European Union remains to be the most successful economic association that many countries, including Ukraine, are seeking to join in.

We do congratulate our European partners and sincerely rejoice in the success story of this project.

I have great faith that one day we will become a member of this organization, because the Association Agreement remains to be a good guide for us.

Viva EU!
