The evening section


The Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Dmytro Razumkov opened the evening round of the plenary sitting.

Ruslan Stefanchuk, the First Deputy Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, announced the creation of a parliamentary inter-factional association “Kuban” to be headed by Oleksii Honcharenko, MP.

Parliamentarians proceeded with the business of the day.

 

Laws, bills and resolutions passed

 

On military duty and service

--Draft bill No.0906

By 278 ayes, the parliament passed the second reading of the bill No.0906 “On amendments to certain legislative acts of Ukraine regarding military duty and military service”.

 

On parliamentary interpellations

--Draft bill No.1036-1

Members of parliament saw into the draft bill on amendments to Ukrainian law regarding submitting interpellations by parliamentarians. With 248 votes in favour, the parliament passed this bill on the second reading.

 

On electronic workflow

--Draft bill No.1044-1

Parliamentarians considered alterations to the draft bill amending the Verkhovna Rada regulations concerning the introduction of electronic document management related to the lawmaking process. The draft bill was taken by 256 ayes on the second reading.


On nuclear waste management

--Draft bill No.0913

Parliamentarians considered alterations to the draft bill amending Ukrainian law as to refining the legislation pertaining to radioactive waste management. The second reading of the bill was taken by 258 votes in favour.

 

On purchase of known low-grade drugs

--Draft bill No.1152 (including the draft bill No.1152-1 as the alternate)

Lawgivers saw into the first reading of the bills strengthening liability for purchasing known low-grade medicine at the expense of budgetary funds. The draft bill No.1152-1 “On amendments to the Criminal Code of Ukraine regarding strengthening liability for purchasing known low-grade medicine at the expense of budgetary funds” was confirmed by 306 votes in favour.

 

On operational search activities

--Draft bill No.2161

By 264 ayes, the lawmakers passed the first reading of the draft bill No.2161 “On amendments to the Law of Ukraine “On operational search activities" for improving performance of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine”.


Launch of ad hoc commission on territorial integrity

--Draft resolution No.2268

The current agenda has been supplemented with the draft resolution on establishing a Verkhovna Rada temporary special commission in charge of pursuing the state policy of restoring the territorial integrity and ensuring Ukraine’s sovereignty. The lawgivers confirmed the second reading of the resolution by 316 ayes.   

 

On special investigating commission

--Draft resolution No.2152

Parliamentarians saw into the draft resolution No.2152 “On establishment of a Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine temporary investigating commission to probe the regulatory compliance information when transferring ownership of information television channels and ensuring counteraction to informational influence of the Russian Federation”. The second reading of the resolution was carried by 278 members of parliament.
