379 parliamentarians have registered to participate in the evening section of the plenary meeting.

The evening section

The Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Dmytro Razumkov opened the evening round of the plenary sitting.

Members of parliament proceeded with the business of the day.

 

Laws, bills and resolutions passed

 

·        On VRU’s legislative drafting activity

--Draft bill No.1042-1  

On amendments to the Rules of Procedure of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine regarding planning and consistent legislative drafting activity of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine”.

The draft law proposes to provide for approval of the Verkhovna Rada’s plan of legislative drafting activity. The second reading of the bill No.1042-1 was backed by 244 parliamentarians.

 

·        On streamlining the legislative procedure

--Draft bill No.1039-2

“On amendment to Article 116 of the Rules of Procedure of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine regarding requirements for proposals and amendments to a draft law afoot for its second reading”.

The purpose of adopting the proposed bills is improvement of the legislative procedure. The drafters propose to do this by amending part 1 of Article 116 of the Rules of Procedure of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine. 229 parliamentarians confirmed the draft bill No.1039-2 on the second reading.

 

·        On state support to Ukrainian cinema

--Draft bill No.0896

“On amendments to certain laws of Ukraine for effectiveness of the Law of Ukraine ‘On state support to cinematography in Ukraine’”. The bill was adopted due to the need for improving the mechanisms of state support to developing the Ukrainian cinema. The changes proposed should help attract investments and develop Ukraine’s film production infrastructure. On its second reading, the parliament passed the bill No.0896 “On amendments to certain laws of Ukraine for effectiveness of the Law of Ukraine ‘On state support to cinematography in Ukraine’by 253 votes in favour.

 

·        More protection for businesses

--Draft bill No.0889

The second reading of the above bill “On amendments to the Administrative Offences Code of Ukraine to bolster protection of businesses against illegitimate actions or dereliction of regulatory authorities” was upheld by 299 parliamentarians.

 

·        On concessionary transportation for citizens

--Draft bill No.0893

“On amendments to Article 133-1 of the Administrative Offences Code of Ukraine to bolster accountability for unfounded refusal of concessionary transportation for some categories of citizens” in its second reading. The objective of the bill is to minimize such refusals to benefit recipients. The bill was backed by 303 ayes.


The Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Dmytro Razumkov closed the evening section of the meeting.

 

The parliament shall meet next time on October 4 at 10 a.m.
