The Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Andriy Parubiy opened the Wednesday’s plenary meeting.
Morning session
Today’s agenda
The Chairman briefed on the agenda items that had been proposed for reviewing today. The list of issues to be considered at the plenary meeting on the 10th of July:
1. Bill No.3112-1 of draft Electoral Code (second reading).
The presiding officer reminded that this Thursday is primed for reviewing bills on hostages, military chaplaincy and supporting pitmen.
The Chairman said that an ad hoc task group would prepare today a final list of amendments to the draft Election Code to be then distributed on the morrow around the chamber prior to the final vote. He urged MPs to read through the listed items thoroughly before voting.
The Chairman gave the floor to representatives of the parliamentary factions and groups to make their announcements, statements, reports and proposals.
After the speeches, MPs proceeded with reviewing the second reading of the bill No.3112-1 on draft Electoral Code. By the end of the morning session they have worked through 4530 amendments.
The Deputy Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Oksana Syroid closed the meeting.
The amendments work shall continue tomorrow.
