Committee for Informatization and Communications

The committee head, as part of a delegation from Ukraine, took part in opening the BIXPO 2018 (International Invention Fair), that takes place on 31 September-02 November 2018 at the Kimdaejung Convention Center) in Gwangju, South Korea. He represented Ukraine at a meeting of the ministers responsible for innovation, digitalization, energy and industry.
After the introduction of digital economies in the most successful countries of the world, digital transformation has become a pace-setting trend in these states. “In the very nearest future, it is necessary to start shifting our raw material economy to an innovative digital economy. This will enable the country to develop at the expense of its own human potential and very quickly magnify its GDP and living standards for the citizens. Digital economy and digital transformation are the only way to build Ukraine up," stressed the committee head O.Danchenko.
Committee on Foreign Affairs

On October 30-31, the foreign affairs committee head Hanna Hopko took part in a transregional marathon “The role of citizenry in Ukraine’s political reforms”. The event took place in the city of Kropyvnytskyi, having gathered over a hundred of social activists and home rulers (local self-government executives) from central Ukraine.
The committee head noted that Ukraine was forced to simultaneously repel the Russian aggression, build up a solid statehood and carry out reforms in numerous vital areas. "In all the three directions, we have significant progress, but considerable resistance to the changes as well. To do well in the reforms, we need to team up all the reformatory forces and strengthen their influence over the parliament," said the politician.
She emphasized the importance of adopting the electoral code, new security and defence-related laws, as well as the law on the state language.
While in the region, the member of parliament paid also a visit to the Sokolivska amalgamated territorial community, where she called in an administrative services center, a school and other social infrastructure facilities, whose construction had been funded by the community.
In the city, H.Hopko held a task meeting with the municipal council executives on handshaking of the parliament and the local home rulers in the course of decentralization and reforms.
