Verkhovna Rada adopts Resolution "On validation of Verkhovna Rada Statement "On departure from some obligations enshrined in the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights, and Convention for the Protection of Human Rights and Fundamental Freedoms"
In particular, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine has ruled:
1. Approve the Statement of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on departure from some obligations enshrined in Item 3, Article 2, Articles 9, 12, 14 and 17 of the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights and Articles 5, 6, 8 and 13 Convention for the Protection of Human Rights and Fundamental Freedoms for the period until full termination of armed aggression of the Russian Federation.
2. Based on information provided by the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine, Security Service of Ukraine and other state bodies, the Foreign Affairs Ministry of Ukraine is urged to inform about the Statement mentioned in Item 1 of this Resolution and about the state of security in Donetsk and Luhansk regions; about change in territory Ukraine's departure from the said obligations is spread for.
