Volunteers are great!

( Information Department of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Secretariat )

“Volunteers saved the Ukrainian statehood in the most difficult, deadly and dangerous days for Ukraine,” Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Andriy Parubiy

The Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Andriy Parubiy, opening the morning plenary meeting on Tuesday, congratulated all the volunteers on the International Volunteer Day.

“Volunteering has become a real Ukrainian phenomenon and a sign of modern Ukraine,” he said.

The Chairman of the Parliament reminded that during the Revolution of Dignity, and with the onset of Russian aggression, all witnessed the birth of a nationwide volunteer movement. “The Ukrainians were united to help the army side by side. Everyone did and does what he can. Volunteers deliver to the front the necessary, weave masking nets, sew clothes for the military, prepare preserves and even repair armored vehicles,” said A.Parubiy.

The Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada stressed that “volunteers are those brave men and women who volunteered to the front and saved the Ukrainian statehood in the most difficult, deadly and dangerous days for Ukraine”. “Glory to volunteers! Glory to Ukraine!” he stressed.
