The Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Andriy Parubiy opened the evening session.

After opening the plenary meeting, the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Andriy Parubiy gave the floor to Iryna Herashchenko, the First Deputy of the Chairperson of the Parliament, to report on the negotiations with the protesters who had gathered nearby the Parliament’s edifice. The rapporteur said there were pitmen, “Afghans”, Chornobyl “liquidators”, army retirees, and ATO veterans claiming their rights.

Parliamentarians considered the issues of security and defence.

A.Parubiy informed that the Committee on National Security and Defence had today reviewed the draft law on national security enabling by so doing to start deliberations on the issue on Wednesday, tomorrow.

The presiding officer closed the meeting.

On state sovereignty policy in occupied regions: Draft bill No.8293

There has been taken the bill amending a range of Ukrainian laws relative to coming into force the law of Ukraine “On the peculiarities of State policy on ensuring Ukraine’s State sovereignty over temporarily occupied territories in the Donetsk and Luhansk regions”.

The changes are meant to entail a broader harmonization of the social protection issues for persons to be engaged in ensuring national security and defence, repulsing and restraining the Russian aggression in the Donetsk and Luhansk regions (oblasts), and in other related matters.

 

On taxation changes linked to ensuring national security and defence against Russia’s aggression: Draft bill No.8349

There has been taken the bill amending the Tax Code of Ukraine with regard to relations that arise from taking measures on ensuring national security and defence, repulsing and restraining the Russian aggression in the Donetsk and Luhansk regions.

The changes to the code are intended to keep up the existing breaks in the war tax payable from money allowance (service pay) income earned by law enforcers, servicemen and other persons willing to undertake in a broadly sensed barring the Russian aggression in the said two regions, as well as the breaks in VATaxation of import operations for a range of personal protective equipment, medicine and medical products, etc. for the period of the Joint Forces Operation (JFO).

 

On customs changes linked to ensuring national security and defence against Russia’s aggression: Draft bill No. 8350

There has been taken the bill amending the Customs Code of Ukraine with regard to relations that arise from taking measures on ensuring national security and defence, repulsing and restraining the Russian aggression in the Donetsk and Luhansk regions. Likewise, the law is to re-retain the ATO-related import duty breaks (benefits) for the period of the Joint Forces Operation (JFO).

 

On P.Kulish’s bicentennial: Draft bill No.8303

There has been taken a parliamentary resolution on P.Kulish’s bicentennial. The paper lays a broad groundwork for national observing the anniversary and creating conditions for popularization of his creative legacy.

 

On perpetuation of L.Kadeniuk’s memory: Draft bill No.8310

There has been taken a parliamentary resolution on perpetuation of the memory of Leonid Kadeniuk, the first Ukrainian space man. The paper sets forth a variety of measures needful to undertake to commemorate the space man’s memory and scientific contribution, to popularize space exploration and aviation attainments.
